YR 2019 UL http://biorxiv.org/content/early/2019/11/08/835090.abstract AB We investigated the virulence determinants and phylogeny of a non-O1/non-O139 Vibrio cholerae strain that caused an outbreak in Santiago, Chile, 2018. Our results suggest that the high virulence of this strain, as well as other non-O1/non-O139 strains, may be the result of the acquisition of genomic islands carrying antibiotic resistance genes, T3SS and T6SS.
