Although systemic administration of CRF is effective for pain control, local delivery might also produce analgesia in cases of chronic pulpitis comparable to that seen in rat hind paw inflammatory models (9, 10). Local injection of morphine effectively decreases pain caused by chronic pulpitis (28).
