Although many studies regarding prognostic indicators of survivor in patients poisoned with PQ using plasma/urine PQ concentration have been attempted, the prediction based on clinical parameters is the easiest available method and it is possible to rapidly update assessment should a patient’s condition deteriorate.4–14 In the present study, we developed a predictive method about the outcome of PQ poisoning by using clinical parameters, which are readily available in the ED environment.
