Henmon-Nelson IQ scores as predictors of WAIS full scale IQ in alcoholics

J Clin Psychol. 1978 Oct;34(4):1001-2. doi: 10.1002/1097-4679(197810)34:4<1001::aid-jclp2270340437>3.0.co;2-k.

Abstract

Used the Henmon-Nelson Test of Mental Abilities to predict WAIS Full Scale IQ Scores with a group (N = 41) of hospitalized alcoholics. The results suggest a moderately high correlation (r = .807), which corresponds with reports of these studies of Watson and Klett for a group of hospitalized psychiatric patients. A linear regression was calculated and a and b weights generated.
